School is the place where children and teenagers go to learn. It's where they get the education they need to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

There's a lot that goes on between the time you drop your child off at school and when you pick them up at the end of the day. Unless you're a teacher, it can be hard to understand exactly what your kids are going through on a daily basis at school. That's why we asked one anonymous teacher to reveal the nine things they think most parents don't realize about school.

Your Kid's Little You
Your children take a lot of what they learn at school home with them. From their mannerisms and words to their work ethic and drive, they take your mini version of you to school with them each day. Teachers pick up on this as well, and your kid's teachers will often know why they are acting a certain way.

Hurt Feelings
One of the most important skills that you can teach your kids is how to deal with difficult situations and emotions. Whether it's getting hurt by someone at school or feeling upset about an assignment, learning how to cope with these feelings is something that will help them for the rest of their lives. Luckily, most of the time teachers will be there to help them through the rough patches. They are just as invested in your child's well-being as you are.   school
